Nets walk away from Carmelo Anthony trade

Mikhail Prokhorov, the Nets owner, has told his management to stay away from the Carmelo Anthony negotiations. He explained that Anthony wanted too much money to go to the Nets. This is not good news for Anthony, who doesn't have much of an option to stay in Colorado, so the Nets could get Anthony for a much lower price. The Bulls are also in the hunt for Anthony.
I don't think that the Nets should try to get Carmelo Anthony because their season is almost over, and just Anthony alone will not make the team way more significantly better.I think that he should stay in Colorado, or find a team that suits him better

Ariz. shooting suspect back in court next week

Rep. Gabrielle Gifford is expected to be back in court next week for the Arizona. The preliminary hearing on Monday for Jared Loughner has been moved to a larger federal courtroom in Phoenix. Loughner will be charged in the federal court with attempted assassination of Congressman, and also for the murder of federal employees.
I hope that Loughner is given the highest form of punishment for his actions. His brutal, murder of these people is one of the worst in Arizona history. I think that he should be subjected to the death penalty.

Cheers? Booze bottles may get nutrional labels

"In the year 20011, it's sort of bizarre that alcohol's the only consumable product soldin the United States that you can't tell what's inside the bottle," says Guy L. Smith, the executive vice president in North America for Diageo, the world's leading beer and wine company. Diageo is now supporting a proposal to the federal Tax and Trade Bureau to list nutrional information like calories, carbohydrates, on each bottle.
I think that this is a good idea. With all the obeses people in the world today, nutritional facts on beer could help people realize what they are putting into their body. It could also help reduce peoples health problems because they now know how much they should drink.

Ashes to asses, dust to dolts

On Wednesday a burglar broke into a woman's house and stole two urns, one containing the cremations of a man, the other of two Great Danes. The burglar also took some electronics and jewelry. The burglar misinterpreted the cremations to be illegal drugs such as cocaine or heroin. Investigators found all of this out after they arrested five teens in connection with a different burglary attempt at house near this one.
I think that these criminals deserve what they got for trying to use cremations as illegal drugs. I also find this pretty funny.
